Associations & Affiliations
USCB stays current on laws and regulations pertaining to our industry through association to and involvement with a number of local, state and national trade organizations. Below is a partial list of those associations, complete with a description of the organization.

ACA International (ACA)

ACA International, the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals, is the comprehensive, knowledge-based resource for success in the credit and collection industry. The association establishes ethical standards; produces a wide variety of products, services and publications; and articulates the value of the credit and collection industry to businesses, policymakers and consumers.
USCB America has earned the designation of PPMS Certified having successfully completed the full requirements of the Professional Practices Management System by ACA International.

ACA International Members Attorney Program (MAP)
The Members’ Attorney Program (MAP) is a division of ACA International created to enable attorneys who practice in the credit and collection arena to better represent their clients through a number of resources designed to assist them in their practices. MAP helps both veteran and new attorneys in the credit and collection industry learn about the business and continue to stay informed about pertinent compliance.

California Society for Healthcare Attorneys (CSHA)
Founded in 1980, CSHA provides legal education, promotes the exchange of ideas and facilitates networking opportunities for California healthcare attorneys involved in all aspects of the healthcare industry including: hospitals; physicians and medical groups; health plans; community clinics, government agencies, academia and more.

ESOP Association
Since its inception in 1978, The ESOP Association has represented the interests of all corporations that sponsor employee stock ownership plans, or ESOPs. The ESOP Association provides advocacy and educational services on behalf of its members.

Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA)
HCCA is the pre-eminent national association that deals specifically with the collection of medical debt and the handling of protected health information (PHI). HCCA offers high-quality educational seminars and symposiums designed to assist its’ members with the development, implementation and maintenance of quality compliance programs in healthcare.

American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM)
AAHAM is the premier professional organization in healthcare administrative management. AAHAM actively represents the interests of healthcare administrative management professionals through a comprehensive program of legislative and regulatory monitoring and its participation in industry groups such as ANSI, DISA and NUBC.

Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA)
HFMA provides its’ members with educational tracks and technical information related to a variety of financial management topics such as strategic planning, accounting practices, leadership development, legislative and regulatory issues, cost management, and patient financial services.

California Hospital Association (CHA)
California Hospital Association (CHA), is the statewide leader representing the interests of nearly 400 hospitals and health systems in California. CHA collaborates with its’ members to provide strong and effective representation and advocacy to advance the interests of California hospitals, patients and communities. CHA is a trusted resource, working with members to achieve legislative, regulatory, and legal accomplishments at the state and federal level.

Arizona Collectors Association
To be the comprehensive, knowledge-based resource for success in the credit and collection industry.

- Acting as the members’ voice in critical business, legislative, legal, regulatory and public arenas.

California Association of Collectors (CAC)
CAC, the California Association of Collectors, is pledged to promote, stimulate, increase and improve the educational, social, economic, and ethical welfare of the California collection industry and the public which it serves.

International Collector's Group (ICG)
The primary mission and vision of the ICG continues to be an international networking forum for the global exchange of new and creative ideas to engender ongoing innovation in the ARM industry.

California Employers Association (CEA)
CEA is a not-for-profit human resource employers association that serves over 9,000 businesses throughout California. CEA has been committed to providing Human Resource solutions to its’ Employer members since 1937.

Institute for Collection Leadership
The Institute for Collection Leadership is a new and innovative organization in the credit and collection industry created with the sole purpose of promoting and advancing the specific interests of its large-company members.
Through research, networking, thought-leadership, and targeted financial support, the ICL works to deepen relationships with policymakers, government regulatory and judicial bodies, thought-leaders, and other critical decision-makers whose actions and opinions impact our industry.
